THE CHALLENGE
A nature documentary on the world’s fiercest swamp predators needed a bold, adaptable title treatment and key art. The design had to capture raw tension and power while staying flexible enough to work across streaming platforms, screens, and formats without losing impact.
THE SOLUTION
Using high-res imagery from the documentary’s photographer, I color-corrected the hero shot and added water ripple effects in post-production to amp up the atmosphere. I curated a font set and sourced a custom typeface from a professional typesetter that felt primal and cinematic. The typography conveys movement and danger. A moody color palette tied it all together. The key art was designed to stay bold and clear at any size, from homepage takeovers to tiny thumbnails.
MY PART
As Creative Director and Designer, here’s what I did:
✔ Led creative direction, type curation, and key art design
✔ Color-corrected the hero image and added water ripple effects in post-production
✔ Sourced a custom typeface and built a cinematic title treatment
✔ Designed streaming-ready title cards optimized for clarity, energy, and scalability
WHERE IT’S HEADED
The title treatment is positioned to give Monsters That Bite instant recognition across streaming platforms. The bold, adaptable design ensures it stands out whether someone’s scrolling on their phone or browsing on a smart TV. The goal: make the documentary feel as gripping and visceral as the predators it features, drawing viewers in before they even hit play.
